jvj - visuals in java

i have written a little java app in the last 2 days that i will use as my virtual VJ for the upcoming gorgast party. it basically takes a folder full of photos and randomly rotates, scales and moves them around. plus some other stuff. more screenshots, a working applet and the source code can be found here.

there is a ruby interest group who meet in second life twice a month. (1st and 3rd thursday of each month at 6:00 PM pacific time). looks like we are getting a little closer to the metaverse of snow crash.

jay fields has written a series of articles about what he calls business natural languages - domain specific languages that serve to express business logic. the articles use an example problem and cover the complete implementation in ruby. cool.
